The standard paragraph indent

In Western typography, the paragraph indent is purely a matter of the typographer’s preference. In contrast, in Chinese typography, while it still is a matter of the typographer’s preference, there is such a thing as a standard paragraph indent.

The standard paragraph indent in Chinese is two fullwidth spaces. If you choose an indented style but the paragraph indent is different from the standard amount, your layout will look wrong, or at least somewhat strange.
